Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Demerzel Studio LLC ("Demerzel Studio", "we", "us") publishes Ânimo, a mobile app that delivers daily motivational quotes. This policy explains what Ânimo collects, what it doesn't, and where the data that is collected goes. It covers the Ânimo app only — the Demerzel Studio website privacy policy is a separate document.

2. What Ânimo collects

Ânimo has no backend of its own: there is no Ânimo server, no user account, and no login. The app works fully offline for reading, saving, and organizing quotes. The only data leaving your device is described in Section 4 (third-party services), and it never includes your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information.

3. What stays on your device

Everything you do inside Ânimo — your favorites, your preferences, any quotes you write yourself, and your daily streak — is stored locally on your device, in an on-device key-value store (MMKV). None of it is uploaded, synced to a server, or visible to us. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. Widgets read this same on-device data through the operating system's app-group storage; nothing about it leaves the device either.

4. Third-party services

Ânimo uses a small number of third-party services, each limited to a specific purpose:

• RevenueCat — manages the Ânimo Plus subscription. It receives an anonymous, app-generated user identifier and transaction data from the App Store or Google Play (purchase, renewal, cancellation, entitlement status) needed to unlock premium features. It does not receive your name or email address. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• PostHog — product analytics. It receives anonymous, non-identifying event data (for example, which screen was opened or which onboarding step was reached), tied to a random device identifier, never to a name, email, or the text of any quote. You can opt out of analytics at any time from Ajustes (Settings) inside the app. See PostHog's privacy policy.
• Apple — if you subscribe through the App Store, Apple processes the payment and manages your subscription under its own privacy policy. We do not see your payment details.
• Google — if you subscribe through Google Play, Google processes the payment and manages your subscription under its own privacy policy. We do not see your payment details.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Notifications

Ânimo's daily quote reminders are local notifications, scheduled directly on your device by the app itself. There is no push-notification server: no third party is notified when a reminder fires, and no notification content is sent anywhere. You control notifications through your device's system settings and through Ajustes inside the app.

6. Photo library

When you choose to save a quote as an image (for example, to share it), Ânimo asks for permission to write to your photo library and saves that one image. Ânimo does not read, browse, or access any other photo or file in your library, and this permission is never used to collect data.

7. Children

Ânimo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no accounts and no server-side data collection, there is no profile of any user, child or adult, for us to hold.

8. Your rights

Because your favorites, preferences, and streak live only on your device, you can already see, export (via sharing), and delete them yourself — deleting the app deletes them. For the limited data described in Section 4 that reaches RevenueCat or PostHog, you can ask us to identify and remove what is tied to your device by contacting us at the address below; we'll need enough detail (such as the approximate date and platform) to locate it, since we hold no name or email to search by.

10. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how Ânimo handles data, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. This document is versioned in source control, so the full history is auditable.
